TCT is a synthetic biology platform designed to trigger a cancer cell's own signaling pathways into carrying out its destruction — no cytotoxic chemotherapy delivered from outside. The cell does the work. We just tell it the truth it's already primed to act on.
Most cancer treatments attack the cell from outside — a toxin, a blade, a blunt chemical instrument that damages healthy tissue on the way to the tumor.
TCT takes a different position: cancer cells already carry the molecular machinery to destroy themselves. TCT is designed to activate that machinery directly, using signals the cell reads as its own internal warnings.
No payload is injected into the cell. The platform works by giving the cell information — not force — that its own pathways carry through to their natural conclusion.
"It converts the cancer cell into the agent of its own removal, rather than attacking it directly."
TCT is built around multiple independently engineered signals that converge on a cancer cell at once — a combination designed to compound rather than simply add up. The specific molecular architecture is proprietary and detailed in our patent filings.
Each engineered signal is built to be read by a pathway the cancer cell already relies on — not introduced as a foreign toxin, but recognized as the cell's own internal information.
The platform is designed to remain inactive in normal tissue and activate specifically in the tumor environment, reducing the risk of harm to healthy cells.
Rather than relying on one mechanism, the design layers signals that reinforce one another — increasing the odds the cancer cell can't compensate its way out.
A synthetic biology therapeutic isn't trustworthy just because it works — it has to be stoppable.
TCT includes a deliberate deactivation mechanism, built on clinically established biology rather than a novel, unproven safety idea. If the therapy needs to be stopped for any reason, an independent trigger can shut the system down. Details of the mechanism are part of our patent filings.
Every claim here is held to one distinction: design-complete (computational validation finished) versus wet-lab confirmed (tested in real cells). Right now, TCT is entirely the former.
Trojan Cell Therapy was developed outside the traditional institutional research pipeline — no university lab, no existing biotech infrastructure. Just a specific, testable hypothesis about how cancer cells might be turned against themselves, developed rigorously enough that a synthetic biology lab could pick it up and start testing.
The goal isn't primarily commercial. It's to contribute one more rigorously tested data point toward solving cancer, and to open a door for collaboration with researchers who have the wet-lab infrastructure this work needs next.
We're actively looking for CRO partners, computational reviewers, and researchers with wet-lab capacity to move this from design-complete to tested.
